I would especially like to see a more monkeys and primates here, as I'd for sure be showcasing gorilla and orangutan in their respective areas.
There'll be four main areas: Skookum Woods (North American forests), Orinoco Jungle (Amazon rainforest), Kijana River (Ituri forest), and Hutan Purba (SE Asia). It'll look like the kind of place you'd go backpacking. It'll have a more natural rugged look, like a national park. I'm hoping we might get Przewalski's wild horse, dhole, sloth bear, gaur or water buffalo, blackbuck, Sambar deer, bharal, takin, tapir, and various kinds of monkeys to flesh out this idea.įOREST TRAILS ZOO: this zoo will be focused on the forest and rainforest biomes. The Isle will be a rainforest area home to orangutans and other animals from Borneo/Sumatra/Java. Emperor's Trail will be a Chinese area where pandas will be the star attraction. Kipling Jungle will be based on India, with wolves, rhinos, tigers, and elephants. Gyalpo Mountain will be an area based on the Himalayas, where my snow leopards will reside. The Steppes will be based on central Asia. From here, guests can go down different paths leading to areas based around different regions.
A reptile house nearby will house komodo dragons and gharial. Upon entry, guests can enter a garden to eat with peafowl roaming around them. JINZHU GARDENS: this will be a zoo oriented around the conservation of animals from Asia. Some zoos do have a structure like this iirc. The Human Zoo: The gimmick is that the humans would appear to be enclosed while the animals have more room to roam. This zoo does rely on having enough animals native to Yellowstone being confirmed for the game but we so far have grizzlies, wolves, and pronghorns. Yellowstone Caldera Zoo: Themed after Yellowstone National Park, this zoo would feature animals native to the real life location. I'd love to also fit in some other kinds of habitats like a desert or forest for variety. I was inspired by the likes of San Diego Safari Park's African Plains exhibit and the Columbus Zoo's Heart of Africa exhibit. This would give the illusion of predators and prey are co-existing with each other when they're actually separated from one another. African Reserve: The biggest exhibit featured here would be an expansive savanna exhibit divided by natural barriers. But I could find some room for a snow leopard or another mountain-dwelling creature. I'd like to have more of a skew towards Asian animals that live in forests, grasslands, etc.
Animals could (potentially) include tigers, elephants, peafowl, and pandas (they're not confirmed yet but I personally think they'll be among the last of the reveals before release). The idea is that the zoo is built on top of the ruins of an old temple and various species of Asian animals have moved in and made it their home. Asian Gardens: A tropical, forested zoo themed around Asia and featuring Asian architecture. We don't know the entire animal menagerie yet but yesterday's Indian subcontinent zoo really inspired me to think about what kinds of zoos I'd like to make.
