I kept in contact with the VanEssens over the years and in 2005 decided to move to Yankton, SD where my foster mother lived. Going to church and showing off my son's progress as he grew. I was fascinated with how small and delicate the baby looked and couldn't believe that soon I would have one of my own.Vivian's family accepted me into their home again and I enjoyed attending Baseball and Basketball games Andy was in. I remember attending a basketball game where Andy was playing and seeing a young mother holding her newborn baby in the crowd. During the remainder of my pregnancy I went to visit Viv and her family in Winner frequently and stayed for several days at a time during weekends when she wasn't working. I had told her I was planning on having him at the hospital there in Winner. She imediantly said yes and invited me to stay with her in Winner, SD where her and her husband Bert and son Andy lived. I had had a bad argument with my mother and decided to ask Vivian if she would come with me when I gave birth to my baby. Vivian came over in the evening to watch 'The Broken Cord' and to eat ice-cream.She told me Grams (Doris) and Gramps (Bert) are coming down this next weekend and so is Bert Lee! -*This Is my Diary entry as I wrote it 17 years ago. Had lots of visitors today Including: Mom, Emily, M.J., Rube, Robbie, Viv, Bert. I fed him not too long ago ( 7:30 - 7:55) and he did real well. I just Love Him To Death!! It is now 8:20 PM Approx. My li'l boy - Cameron Kegan Wells was worth any discomfort I faced during those hours.

Labor wasn't quite as bad as I had thought (and heard) it would be. Gave birth to my son at 4:03 this morning.

The spray will help protect all your hard work-pumpkin can last up to 4 months! If you start this year you will get better and better - the whole point is to have FUN!įinish pumpkin with Acrylic spray, two coats should be plenty. I have been painting pumpkins for 12 years now. Paint the designs with Acrylic paint-this paint is a liquid plastic and dries very quickly. NOTE: Do not use permanent markers (such as Sharpies) in place of the ball point pens! I had to learn the hard way that they smear/run down the surface of the pumpkin when the last Acrylic coat is applied and can ruin the overall look of the finished pumpkin. The picture will be clear and clean when you use a damp paper towel to wipe off the marker lines. Allow the pen lines to dry for a few seconds. You then redraw the picture/design with the ball point pen (unlike the marker lines these will be permanent). This method will be helpful in making the design as accurate as possible because the surface of the pumpkin will be as easy to erase as a dry erase board! Erase any lines you wish by dampening the Q-tips and removing any unwanted lines or errors with it. Use the water based markers to draw out the design you will be painting. Paper towels -Ball point pens -Acrylic paints -Clear Acrylic sprayīegin by cleaning the surface of the pumpkin(s) you will be decorating.
